Work Sucks

Wow. Today was busy. 8 hours of busy. The new Wal*Mart Supercenter is opening up in less than a week, and the old Wal*Mart has moved most of its contents into the new one, so regular Wal*Mart customers were forced to shop at Kmart. Boy was that fun. Fortunately it was a weekend and we had more checkers than usual, but I'm scared to see what it's going to be like on Monday when we don't have a lot of checkers. This could get ugly.

No one yelled at me or almost made me cry, so that was good.

Aaron and I went out to lunch today at the Bay Leaf Cafe' which was pretty good, and then walked around down town a little bit, even though the weather was crummy. We went into the pet store, and all they had were ducks, iguanas, parakeets, and supposedly a sugarglider, but I couldn't see anything in the cage. I wanted to pet a kitty, damnit.

Tomorrow is officially "Homework Day." I shall unplug my internet (except to find a couple of resources for a paper), and perhaps lock myself in at the library. I tend to get more work done that way.

Mom and Dad went to Rapid City today and got me bunches of stuff, including some fun new tumblers to drink from in a plethora of colors, some shirts for work, and Pepsi! They're the best parents ever. Thank you!

But I'm gonna cook me a pork chop now, and not use as much cooking oil as I did last time, 'cause I got spattered a lot and it hurt. Wish me luck.
